Our Cleveland hair salons are celebrating all monthlong!
As if spring isn’t enough cause to kick up your heels and celebrate, the month of April offers a real bonanza of commemorations and holidays. All the Easter candy may have been eaten (unless you’ve stashed a chocolate bunny or two away), but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a lot to look forward to – in addition to your next appointment at Illusion Unlimited hair salon in Strongsville, Parma or Broadview Heights.
It’s amazing how many holidays there are. Sometimes you have to wonder who came up with these things. Somebody who was visiting our hair salon in Strongsville last week, told us that April 2 was National Ferret Day. We thought she was joking at first, but we turned to a listing of Official, Fun, Crazy and Bizarre Holidays and discovered that it really is a thing and it’s organized by the American Ferret Association.
We found some other special occasions that fall this month that had all of us either scratching our heads or laughing out loud. (Don’t be surprised in you see some of staff people playfully pointing the figure at each other this Friday. It’s Blame Someone Else Day, which apparently falls on the first Friday the 13th of every year.)
Of course, some causes need more than just a day to be properly honored. Sometimes you need a full month to truly express your appreciation of something – like one of the greatest comfort foods of all time. We are happy to tell you that April is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Month. A few folks at both our Parma and Strongsville hair salons have told us that they are definitely planning to celebrate this one.
Not all of the special holidays are odd or funny, of course. Given the above holidays, you might not be surprised to find out that April is National Humor Month. April also happens to be Car Care Month, which a stylist at one of our Cleveland hair salons pointed out ties in nicely with the fact that April is also Informed Women Month.
This month also marks Stress Awareness Month, which is sponsored by The Health Resource Network (HRN), a non-profit health education organization. Stress Awareness Month is a national, cooperative effort to inform people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies, and harmful misconceptions about stress that are prevalent in our society. We hope that making an appointment at one of the best hair salons in Cleveland – in other words at Illusion Unlimited’s hair salon in Strongsville, our Parma hair salon or our Broadview Heights location, will be a relaxing and stress relieving experience for you – day in and day out all year long.
This month is also Women’s Eye Health & Safety Month. A couple of people at our hair salon in Strongsville realized it had been awhile since they’d been to the eye doc and have told us that they are going to make an appointment to have their eyes checked. If you’re overdue for an eye exam, we encourage you to do the same.
There are plenty more examples of sometimes crazy, sometimes serious holidays and commemorations on the Brownielocks website, if you’re interested. We’ll leave you with one last example that quite a few of us at our hair salons in Cleveland, Ohio will be celebrating.
April is National Pet Month! If you’re a pet parent, we hope you will go home after your blowout at our Parma hair salon, your gel manicure at our hair and nail salon in Strongsville or the whole new look you’re going to get at our Broadview Heights salon and give your fur babies an extra scratch under the chin from all of us at Illusion Unlimited, the best hair salon Cleveland (according to our pets!).
