Illusion Unlimited Salon is a hair salon in Parma, Ohio, that has been pampering our guests with personalized hair care and exceptional, welcoming service for more than 60 years.

We’re committed to educating ourselves and our guests on the latest in hair care and beauty techniques. Our team works closely with our manufacturers for training throughout the year, as well as offering Surface Days for educating guests about products and processes. It’s important to us that our personal values align with that of our professional product lines we offer, so that our guests receive the best at-home-care recommendations from our designers and manufacturers.

Each stylist is part of the Illusion Unlimited Salon team. There are no independent contractors, no renting chairs and no competition between stylists. Our focus is on building great company culture in our salon so the attention is on you and your hair.

Part of the Community Since 1964

Dennis Millard opened Illusion Unlimited Salon in 1964 with a focus on teamwork and great customer service. The foundation was laid several years before by his father, who opened the A Boutique salon in Parma. Starting with the letter ‘A’ meant that it was the first business name that appeared in the phone book. After a fire at the original location, Dennis gathered his team and they were all graciously offered a spot to service their clients at a salon up the street while they rebuilt. Recognizing the importance of being part of a team, the stylists donated their tips back to Dennis to help with the rebuild – less $2 each day (which was the cost of lunch back then). For a fresh start, A Boutique became Illusion Unlimited Salon when it reopened in 1964.

The foundation Dennis laid continues today with salon owner Marcy Prasek. Marcy started at Illusion Unlimited in 1988 as an assistant and salon coordinator when she was in cosmetology school. She worked her way up to general manager until eventually becoming a partner with Dennis. She bought Dennis out from the business and became the full salon owner in 2022.

Just as we have since 1964, Illusion Unlimited Salon remains dedicated to the Parma community and surrounding cities. We’re a proud member of the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce, sponsor Parma City fireworks, sponsor City of Seven Hills softball and make donations to local charities throughout the year.

The goal is to recommend a hair design that truly works for you based on your features, proportions and who you are. The “In-Balance” Design consultation is designed to bring balance to your appearance in three essential ways. Our hair designers create a hairstyle that:

Makes your head appear to fit your body in a way that balances your silhouette.
Makes your hair appear to balance your facial features.
Encompasses the “Total You.” (How you feel about your appearance—what you like and don’t like about yourself—is the determining factor regarding your hairstyle and even the clothes you wear.)
