We love all the guys who visit our Cleveland hair salons, but we are excited about every single opportunity we have to celebrate the ladies who are always near and dear to our hearts!  The designers at our Parma salon took notice on Friday, March 8 when International Women’s Day 2019 was celebrated around the world. But, then a customer pointed out that March is National Women’s History Month!

Hopefully, the day will come when women around the globe are given an entire month to point out how fabulous they are and how much they contribute to their families, their communities and their countries.

Until that day comes, we can celebrate Women’s History Month right here in the good old US of A! The idea behind the commemoration is to encourage the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.

About Women’s History Month

  • According to the official website, “Women’s History Month had its origins as a national celebration in 1981.” But at that point it was only a week.
  • In 1987, at the urging of the National Women’s History Project, March was declared Women’s History Month.

In honor of the occasion, we challenge you (and everyone at every one of our hair salons in Cleveland, Ohio!) to find out something about a fascinating woman – in your family or in public life – that you didn’t know much about.  And we hope you’ll share what you find out with us the next time you visit Illusion Unlimited – the best beauty salons in Ohio.
